Burgess Edges Champ At Unity Raceway - Oakland’s Jeff Burgess charged from the back of the Maine State Lottery Pro Stock field and inched out champion Dean Fuller at the checkers in a thriller for his first win of the 2003 season.

BURGESS DOMINATES FRIDAY NIGHT PROSTOCKS AT WISCASSET - For the first time in nearly ten years, stockcar racing has returned to Friday nights at Wiscasset Raceway. The coastal speed plant rolled out a full program of weekly racing action under the lights in six divisions. Oakland's Jeff Burgess rebounded from an early exit the week before to lead all 40 laps of the Prostock main event and pick up his second win of the season. He held off midrace challenges from Daren Ripley and Louie Mechalides to secure the win.

OPENING DAY AND A NEW BEGINNING FOR WISCASSET RACEWAY - Saturday April 12th Wiscasset Raceway, along many race hungry fans, ushered in another sign of spring's arrival, kicking off the 2003 Maine racing season with Strong Chevrolet opening day. The opening day festivities also marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Maine's fastest track, welcoming the new management team headed up by PASS tour director Tom Mayberry.
